We are grateful to our participants and supporters for making the 2010 Battle of Fort Crawford the best yet (our 2011 event was cancelled due to threat of wildlife). We hosted over 500 reenactors, 2000 visitors, and 1100 school children from four local school districts. The battles were truly exciting thanks to 19 cannons and about 50 cavalry.
We are extremely thankful to our many sponsors for their support this year, especially Bill and Ann Ainsworth for providing their land for the event.

Comments on past events!
"I feel like the event was a tremendous success. Everyone in my camp wants to return next year. They had nothing but praises for the event. I know speaking to members in the enemy camp(TMVI), they felt the same. I think overall the event was very good. It is some of the best ground in the state I have seen to hold a reenactment."
Mike Bringhurst, Captain, 1st Texas Infantry and Captain, 13th Maine Infantry
"Wow! What a fantastic weekend! Those of us from the 1st Arkansas Artillery just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the event and to thank you for the wonderful weather that just made it that much better.
Everything was well run and we felt appreciated and taken care of unlike at some other events. Please convey our sincere thanks and appreciation to the owners of the land for everything they did to make this wonderful weekend possible.
Everyone was friendly and helpful; it was nice to see so many sutlers and other food vendors; the port o' potties were well placed and taken care of; people were always asking if we needed water or ice; the trash was taken away; the pyrotechnics were fantastic; the dance area, caller and band were exceptional; and I could go on and on.
We all agree this is the best event we have been to in quite some time and will definitely be coming back."

I'd like to be one of the first to congratulate the staff and hosts on a great reenactment event. I very much appreciate all the support in getting settled and manned for the Saturday battle. School days was really fun...
Having been to many a reenactment in the past 16 years, including the big ones back east, I can say that the potential to build on this is astronomical. Some positives:
1. Easy access in and out and plenty of choice for camping for all types (rv/regular/reenactment) clean porta-johns and the supplies...awesome.
2. Having the chili cookoff in addition was great.
3. Spectator area to observe battlefield was great.

"[The organizers] Rob, Angelo, Virgil and so many others made the reenactors feel special and for that they will be back. It was fun and thanks for making it so.
The volley that the Yanks and Rebs did at the end of
the battle Sunday was awesome. THANKS VERY MUCH."
